The Logo Tree peoject has two major goals: (1) to collect information about current and past Logos; and (2) to build a genealogical tree of Logo evolution. This tree is an evidence of the extreme diversity and vitality of Logo as a programming language.
In 2002 we started to harvest basic information about Logo. This was done in various ways: searching the web, talking with people, monitoring forums and sites about vintage software. Today the tree lists Logos developed for the last 40+ years. We were helped by people all over the world.
Until 2015 we were organizing the Logo tree by hand. This old visualization is still available while we develop the new interactive Logo tree.
